garden demon update

spent last week in sql server training – kind of hard to keep two totally opposing trains of thought in your head at the same time. headaches…..

played a bit more with the snail baby – started thinking about how the shell would look if it were made like ribcage – the spine either running down one side of the curve, or down the middle of the curve – with ribs curving out to make the dome of the shell.

    nice . . . now he’s smiling.
What are the dimensions on the happy snail baby?

  2. patl Says:

    hey Pam,
he is about 10 1/2 ” tall — not sure about the smile, he is solemn in my mind, but needed to practice a smirk

are you heading to NIADA this year? you are further on, on the east coast, right? Do you have new things you are working on?

  3. Pam V Says:

    hey Pat,

thanks I was trying to imagine interacting with him and it’s easier knowing how big he is.

no I won’t be at NIADA this year; it’s impossibly close to my regularly scheduled (cancer) treatment day. This is a major drag as I was going to take the train and avoid the whole airport uglyness (I’m in Michigan).

I have a few new things that I’m working on and really, really mean to have a blog up and running soonish. Having input and communication with other creative types via the internet is becoming rather imperative to my continued well-being (if you know what I mean).

    hugs, Pam

I’m probably not going to make it to NIADA either – I’d love to, my daughter lives in Champaign/Urbana and my other daughter is moving out there to join her – but I am using up my vacation time doing the move and other family requirements — sigh. I wonder where it will be next year!

talk to you soon – take care…
