playing around with photoshop

was trying to see if I could rescue some really lousy pics of a male figure i’m working on – pulled them into photoshop and started playing…

nope. not rescuable – but this image turned out kind of cool (poor dear is missing a few fairly important appendages – definitely a wip)

Back to work…

I have a major project at my day job that I’ve been managing for about 2 years now. It was supposed to go live next weekend, but one group isn’t ready yet — so we are going live the weekend after. Haven’t had time for much of anything but worry about the blamed software and hardware —- this weekend I decided it was time to kick my brain out of the rut it was in and squish some clay.

I’ve been wanting to do some dancers, suspended in space- but haven’t quite figured out how to do it yet — Sat down to try another possibility – I think this one has some potential…. the clear rod she is on has enough flexibility that if the wind blows on her she moves….

and wanted to do another, larger corset piercing piece – large enough to show some pull to the flesh from the piercings. But got kind of sidetracked — she reminds me of a greek venus…. I etiolated her calves, but don’t think i like the effect, will probably be shortening them…

I was looking at a site that showed some incredible artist’s corsets (ok, actually fetish clothing, I believe) boy were they beautiful. was thinking it would be cool to make a figure with a separate corset front, held on by piercings down the side of her back… going to have to try that too, I think. There was a designer who did a cast of his favorite model’s breasts and abdomen, and then cast it in thin metal of some type – and used it as a corset with some of his designs… very cool…

oh it feels so good to squish the clay again! thought i would post just to try to kick myself into continuing.
